Glee: Where Are The Other Classmates?

I love Glee and I can’t wait for its return tonight.  But like this guest commenter over at Racialicious, I’m also wondering: where are the other classmates?  You know….the black girl, the gay boy, the asian chick, the handicapped boy…  I guess the diversity on the show is a separate issue from its marketing scheme though, huh.
