To Do: Synesthesia 2010 and Pablo Picasso

leave a comment »

Picasso in the Metropolitan Museum of Art is running now through August 1, 2010.  My mother saw a preview and spoke very highly of it.  The exhibit is considered a “landmark exhibition” for the Met because it’s the first to focus exclusively on the works of Pablo Picasso, and because it features the Museum’s complete 300-plus collection.

This show is one of my favorite productions that Electric Pear puts on.  The idea is that every sense is touched upon, and each piece of art is inspired by the performance before it.  The artists range from the UCB comedy group, to singer/songwriter Ari Hest, to a mixologist (for your taste buds).  It’s really so wonderful.  Who wants to join me and buy a ticket so I’m not alone?  Performances tonight, tomorrow, and on May 1st.
